Description
The Accounting Manager will administer and manage daily activities of the accounting functions at the facility.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the development and implementation of facility goals and priorities relating to financial management, budget, accounting in compliance with State and Federal law, and LEGENDS GLOBAL policies and procedures.
- Update and maintain monthly budget forecasts to ensure accurate year-end projections.
- Performs other accounting functions and coordinates tasks with other department personnel.
- Prepares and performs or assists with event settlements.
- Prepares and performs account reconciliations.
- preparation of customer reporting and invoicing.
- Preparation of financial statements for the Client and LEGENDS GLOBAL Corporate, and other financial reports, including monthly statements, including the Annual Report.
- Direct the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
- Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, operating expenses, and insurance records.
- Reports and maintains Tax Compliance.
- Prepares and analyzes information for financial statements and reports.
- Coordinates the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting. Works with auditors in verifying financial information/procedures.
- Review the financial statements with management personnel.
- Reconciles Food & Beverage activity.
- Oversee the monthly Food & Beverage inventory counts.
- Ensure proper cash-handling procedures are followed in food & beverage areas, overseeing vault clerks' procedures.
- Assist other Legends Global facilities as needed.
- Performs all other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a four (4) year college or university.
- Experience in facility management, event management, and/or hospitality industries preferred.
- Must have extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting; Excellent math skills; high aptitude for figures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- The ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required.
