Catering Sales Manager

The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for selling, marketing, providing logistical support and client interface for all Food and Beverage related events as well as operational support to the Food and Beverage Department.


    • Participate, develop, and achieve departmental sales goals in compliance with ASM Global and Savor...Oklahoma City Convention Center policies and procedures. These goals encompass both annual and long-range plans.
    • Develop and execute action plans that will guide both routine and special events toward established sales goals.
    • Develop contacts and networks within the corporate and convention market, associations, and social and civic organizations operating and servicing the Greater Oklahoma City area.
    • Monitor bookings and changes in catering software and coordinate set-up of food & beverage requirements with event services and banquet department
    • Assist clients with menu selection with the aid of the Executive Chef to ensure the menu is within budget and will achieve the goals of our clients and the standards of Savor...Oklahoma City.
    • Maintain costing & pricing sheets for all menus and any additional food & beverage services as well and update quarterly.
    • Be familiar with facility sales and event services policies to ensure team selling concept.
    • Prepare and distribute banquet event orders to all departments as required, review costings for all food & beverage events.
    • Process all banquet event orders, monitor changes, client requests and special needs.
    • Notify the Director of Food and Beverage of any situations that require direct intervention.
    • Prepare required reports accurately and submit them on time.
    • Develop proposals and food & beverage contracts for potential clients and follow through on pending bookings while up selling catering services when able.
    • Report daily to the Food and Beverage Director information on potential sales leads and existing client relations.
    • Entertain prospective clients of the Convention Center when necessary, as approved by the Director of Food and Beverage.
    • Maintain an active role in local hospitality community and professional organizations.
    • Attend in-house event-related meetings and relays immediate changes with other departments.
    • Develop menus and other projects.
    • Prepare and distribute final food and beverage invoice to accounting within 24 hours of event conclusion.
    • Other duties as assigned that may include occasionally supervising banquets and/or concessions when necessary
