EV Charge Stations installed in Parking Lot

Oklahoma City – Electric vehicle owners can now charge their automobiles quickly and conveniently at any of the new EV Charging Stations that are now operational.

Two charging stations dispensing “electric fuel” are in the Scissortail Parking Lot, that also doubles as the OKC Convention Center’s primary surface lot. Inspectors have tested and calibrated the stations to ensure they are operating safely and correctly.

Designed and installed by Tulsa’s Francis Energy, sales tax monies created by the MAPS 3 project paid for the charging stations.

The charging station can now charge four vehicles at a time and will add between 20-25 miles of range per hour of charge. Currently, they are free to use without a payment method and once plugged in, the vehicle will immediately start charging.
