Description
Under general supervision, patrols are assigned to a specific territory to protect patrons and property.
Responsibilities
- Stand guard during events. Tour post periodically to ensure safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants, and others on site.
- Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during an event or at the facility. If necessary, escort disruptive individual(s) to the security office and/or off the premises.
- Write incident reports and meet with security supervisor to review.
- Monitor all surveillance, access control, and radio equipment contained within the facility.
- Prioritize situations and investigate/dispatch all safety and security-related incidents. Follow-up on all incidents with written reports and recommendations.
- Answer emergency, non-emergency and administrative phone lines and provide an appropriate response as required by the nature of the call. Respond to emergencies and handle callouts.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently using handheld radio.
- Inspect alarms and fire extinguishers/sprinkler systems to ascertain they are set to operate. Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all entities who maintain business offices on property.
- Tour facility, examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure.
- Assist with crowd control inside and outside of the facility.
- Control unusual circumstances and events during fire, storms, riots, and other emergencies.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations -- answer alarms and investigate.
- Assist departments when handling large sums of high valued items.
- Act in a professional manner with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered.
- When necessary, document all shipping and keep a record of all keys, radios and other facility equipment that are assigned.
- Operate Command Center at an efficient level.
- Utilize CCTV and Access Control system to set door schedules based off building and Event needs.
- Has a neat, professional appearance and comes to work in complete and clean assigned uniform.
- Come to work on time and complete shift assignments (including overtime, if needed)

- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has limited supervisory responsibilities. May carry out temporarily assigned supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legend Global's policies and applicable laws.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Prefer previous experience in a security role.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- CLEET certification within six months of hire.
- Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
