OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Convention Center is celebrating its fifth year of successful operation, marking a milestone with record-setting performance. Oklahoma’s largest meetings and events facility welcomed nearly 250,000 guests this year—a 17.8% increase over the previous year and the highest attendance since opening in 2021. Guests continue to be drawn to the state-of-the-art venue for a diverse range of events, including consumer shows, tradeshows, sporting competitions, corporate meetings, conventions, and special events.
Over its first five years, the OKCCC has hosted a variety of notable national events, including the Lighthouse Immersive Van Gogh Experience (2022), USA Gymnastics (2023), and the U.S. Custom Harvesters Convention (2024). This year, major events such as the ANA World’s Fair of Money, Norwex National Conference, and the UMA Motorcoach Expo brought significant numbers of out-of-town attendees. They generated substantial direct spending for the city of Oklahoma City.
In total, the OKCCC hosted 160 events this year—an increase of 3.2% over the previous year—and was active for 317 days. The estimated economic impact exceeded $40.2 million, reflecting a 35% year-over-year increase. Over its first five years, the Center hosted 722 events, welcomed 969,000 attendees, and generated an estimated $147.4 million in direct spending.
“Although our total number of events remained steady, we saw a significant increase in attendance and direct spending. That surge—driven largely by out‑of‑town visitors—is what fueled our overall growth,” said Oklahoma City General Manager Barbara Beaton.
