- The building’s west side has floor-to-ceiling windows to capture natural light, reducing the need for additional lights and saving on electric consumption.
- Occupancy sensors are in all restrooms, storage closets, hallways, and offices to reduce electric consumption.

Water Consumption | - Restrooms use water conservation measures such as low-flow automatic faucets, low-flush automatic toilets, automatic soap dispensers, and post-consumer recycled paper.

Food | - Kitchen operates using primarily fresh, locally grown, and seasonal ingredients.
- Work with multiple food organizations to donate unused food to the homeless community and local food banks.
- On a routine basis, OKCC composts several tons of food waste. Enough has been used that more than 100 urban tree seedlings could be grown for the next 10 years.

Recycling | - Recycling practices are in use throughout the building. Multiple bins to recycle aluminum cans and plastic bottles conserve resources compared to manufacturing new materials from scratch.
- The OKCCC uses a third-party waste management company to keep our commitment to composting and minimizing waste.
- So far more than 26,000 lbs have been recycled to save landfill space. This practice lessens the possibility of contamination of soil and groundwater meaning safer conditions for people, plants and animals

Carbon Emissions | - The OKCCC has saved more 2,600 lbs of carbon dioxide from release in the atmosphere ensuring a healthier planet for future generations.

Electricity | - The OKCCC has measures that have saved 7,000 kwh which saves money, increases our energy securing and reduces the pollution emitted from non-renewable sources.
